Since 2024, interns have been selected to help run the Digitas Chicago Instagram. As an associate social strategist intern, I was elected by our intern class to help run the Instagram account.

Baseline Performance: April 1st - May 31st

Analyzed Instagram performance to establish a baseline for future content strategy
Generated 3,422 total views and reached 1,478 accounts
Identified 77.9% growth in reach from non-followers, signaling audience expansion
Found that Stories were the strongest-performing format, driving 65.9% of views and 94.6% of interactions

Develop creative content ideas that highlight intern spotlights, agency initiatives, office events, and trending social moments while keeping content engaging and relevant.
Create engaging Instagram content that showcases the Digitas internship program, agency culture, client work, office events, and intern experiences through social-first storytelling.
Plan and organize the Instagram content calendar, coordinating post schedules, deadlines, and upcoming agency events to maintain a consistent and timely presence.
Monitor post performance, engagement, and audience insights to understand what resonates with followers and optimize future content and creative decisions.

Intern Introductions: Love Island Themed

Inspiration

Inspired by Love Island USA’s iconic “bombshell” announcements, I adapted the trending format to introduce Digitas Chicago’s Summer 2026 intern class in a fun, culturally relevant way.

Strategy

I came up with the idea and planned a two-part intern introduction series to highlight the Summer 2026 intern class. I created social assets showcasing each intern’s role, hometown, and personality, wrote captions, and planned the Instagram rollout. I also worked with the social team to make sure everything felt cohesive and aligned with the Digitas brand.

Chez Nous: Drag Queen Event

About

To celebrate Pride Month, Digitas’ Chez Nous hosted an evening featuring a live drag performance by local queen Kara Mel D’Ville, along with drag-themed trivia and a Q&A. The event also supported Brave Space Alliance by collecting donations for the Black and trans-led organization, which supports LGBTQ+ individuals and communities of color.
